St. Petroc Premier School’s Holiday Camp: A Memorable Journey of Adventure, Learning, and Growth Comes to an End!

From November 4th to 22nd, 2024, St. Petroc Premier School hosted an unforgettable holiday camp filled with fun, excitement, and incredible learning experiences for our students. With an array of activities designed to engage young minds and bodies, our campers had an absolute blast while gaining valuable skills and making lasting memories.

A Diverse Range of Fun and Learning Activities

The camp’s lineup was as diverse as it was thrilling! Each day was packed with unique experiences designed to foster teamwork, creativity, and personal growth. From skating to hiking, cooking to game challenges, and even creative arts and yoga, there was something for every child to enjoy!

Skating & Hiking Adventures

Our campers kicked off their adventure with thrilling skating sessions, where they learned balance, coordination, and the joy of skating in a safe and supportive environment. For those who preferred to explore the great outdoors, the hiking trips were a highlight! Exploring nature and embracing the beauty of the environment, students built resilience, learned about nature conservation, and developed a deeper connection with the world around them.

Cooking Fun – Making Sandwiches!

The joy of cooking was also part of the fun! In our cooking sessions, the campers learned how to make delicious sandwiches from scratch. This hands-on experience taught them basic culinary skills, teamwork, and the satisfaction of creating something with their own hands. Whether it was mixing ingredients or getting creative with different sandwich combinations, everyone had a great time in the kitchen!

Game Challenges – Fun and Friendly Competition!

For those who love a little friendly competition, we had game challenges that had everyone laughing, strategizing, and thinking on their feet. The water balloon challenge was a splash, while the scavenger hunt sent campers on an exciting treasure hunt around the campgrounds. There was also the Find the Difference game, which tested their keen observation skills.

We also had classic favorites like the sack race, word race, and hand and foot hopscotch, which kept everyone active and entertained. These activities not only encouraged physical fitness but also helped build teamwork, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Creative Arts, Yoga, Bible Study & Chair Dance

Our campers tapped into their creative side with arts and crafts, creating beautiful artwork and discovering new forms of expression. Yoga sessions helped them relax, stretch, and improve their flexibility, while also teaching mindfulness and focus.

Bible study sessions were a meaningful part of the camp, where campers reflected on important lessons and values, nurturing their spiritual growth. To round out the fun, chair dance brought joy and movement into the mix, with everyone getting into the rhythm and dancing with abandon.
